Wayne Local School District issued the following announcement on February 22.

Waynesville Jr./Sr. High School celebrated our winter sports athletes this week with a parade. The band led our athletes through the hallways and cafeteria to celebrate all their accomplishments so far. The teams celebrated were:

Junior High:
7th and 8th grade girls basketball
7th  and 8th grade boys basketball
7th and 8th grade basketball cheerleading
7th and 8th grade wrestling

High School:
Boys basketball- Freshman,  JV , and Varsity
Freshman, JV, and Varsity cheerleading squads
JV and Varsity  girls basketball teams
Varsity swimming team
Varsity wrestling team.

Our senior athletes are Josh Mitchell, Adam Stahler, Isaac Morris, Emma Slattery, Caitlin Durham, Emma Whitaker, Alexei Van Schaik  Bella Cassoni,  Devyn Olson, Kate Handle, Audrey Conley, Eryn Barrett, Rachel Ingle,  Lillian Crumback,  Will Gleason, AJ Seidenschmidt, Owen Emerson, and Matt Ellis.
