Ohio approves job creation tax credit for Seaman Corporation

State Representative Scott Wiggam (R-Wayne County) announced today that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved a Job Creation Tax Credit for Seaman Corporation in Wooster.

The Seaman Corporation is set to create 53 new jobs, contributing $2.9 million in new payroll. The company will also retain 194 jobs and maintain $22 million in payroll, impacting the local economy significantly.

“New business brings new opportunity to the citizens of my district,” Wiggam stated. “The tax credit is a way we can make Wayne County stand out as a destination for businesses to move to.”

Seaman Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial coated fabrics used for roofing, geomembranes, architectural, and recreation applications globally. With manufacturing plants in Wooster, Ohio and Bristol, Tennessee, Seaman Corporation employs more than 400 employees companywide and is a veteran-owned American manufacturing-based company.
