In March, Mrs. Philpot’s Contemporary World Issues began discussing the conflict going on in Ukraine. At the end of the unit, the class decided that they wanted to do a fundraising project to raise money for the Ukrainian Red Cross. They chose to paint flower pots and sell them with packet of sunflower seeds, to symbolize Ukraine, for a minimum donation of $10 each. The fundraiser is still in progress, but so far the class has raised over $370.
