Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 15.
We are using lemonade to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs!
Registration is open for The Wooster Chamber's inaugural Wayne County Lemonade Day, generously sponsored by Kitty Poo Club, which promises to inspire the next generation of business leaders within our community!
Lemonade Day is a FREE, community-wide educational program designed to teach youth how to start, own, and operate their own business through a lemonade stand. Kids will learn business skills, teamwork goal setting, social and emotional skills, financial literacy, and responsibility through their participation in Lemonade Day.
These young business owners will have access to the My Lemonade Day app, which will give them all of the resources they need to set a goal, make a plan, and develop their lemonade stand. The program culminates on Saturday, June 11, when children set up their lemonade stands across Wayne County to see their entrepreneurial dreams come to life. Participants are encouraged to save some of their profits, spend some and donate some to a non-profit of their choice.
Awards will be given for Best Lemonade Stand, Entrepreneur of the Year! You can even qualify for a chance to win a bike!
