Wayne Local School District issued the following announcement on March 7.
Waynesville High School has a senior, Andrew Weaver, who has been selected to be one of the 15,000 Finalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program after advancing in September to the Semifinalist stage. There were over 1.5 million students who entered the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT test in October 2020 as a junior. After submitting more detailed information, Andrew advanced from Semifinalist to the Finalist stage this month!
He will be notified at the end of March if he will become one of the 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners!
