Graduates earn 229 degrees, certificates from the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute

About 77.7 percent of the 229 degrees and certificates handed out by the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in 2017-18 were to students in agriculture, agriculture operations, and related sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Wooster conferred 172 associate's degrees and 6 certificates in agriculture, agriculture operations, and related sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in general animal sciences. Data shows the school gave out 30 associate's degrees in general animal sciences, followed by 28 associate's degrees in "other" agricultural business and management and 18 associate's degrees in agronomy and crop science.

The university enrolled 687 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
