Cost of college went up for all students at the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute

In-state tuition and fees rose 7 percent for 2018-19 at the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio residents paid $7,707 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $504 more than the $7,203 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 247.9 percent more than residents this year, or $26,811. Their price tag grew 1.9 percent from $26,307 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Ohio residents. And about 3 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 88 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 224 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1 million and 159 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (687), 469 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million, and 340 students took out $2 million in federal student loans.
